Commissioned in 2020, Indy High BTU is the largest renewable natural gas plant in Indiana, USA. The plant converts landfill gas from the South Side Landfill into 800,000 mmBtu of pipeline-quality RNG each year, which when used in transport, displaces about 28 million gallons of diesel.

UPCOMING Landfill to RNG PLANTS TO PRODUCE 4 BCF

In September 2021, Kinetrex Energy announced the start of construction activitie on three renewable natural gas (RNG) facilities in Indiana. Upon completion, the total annual renewable natural gas production from all facilities is estimated to be more than 4 billion cubic feet (bcf).
